2008 is 50 years from the release of the first Goggomobil assembled in Australia using a chassis and running kit from Glas factory in Dingolfing Bavaria, Germany and adding a fibreglass body. These were made by Bill Buckle Motors in Sydney. Bill was already producing a very successful fibreglass car and the Goggo was a venture to bring a small car to Australia. The first version released was built on the base sedan with a 300cc engine. Later in 1959 the most popular and now best known model was released, the Dart. Following this was the Coupe and finally the Carryall these having the upgraded 400cc engines.

The following photos are of the cars at Parramatta Park and the Shannon's day at Eastern Creek Raceway.
